BALI Food Review: Brunch at THE LOFT

POST SERIES!

Brunch at THE LOFT.

The Loft is a cafe with chilled vibes, despite being a popular co-working space, which is always buzzing with digital nomads.

THE LOFT, BALI

Whilst holidaying in Bali for a month, I spent one week at The Canggu Beach Inn, which is just down the road, so The Loft became one of my favourite casual dining spots.

I’ve since been back with friends and we’ve always enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere here. It’s become a haven for surfers, so they have since opened a new store down south, which I’ll be sure to visit next time I’m staying in Uluwatu.

THE LOFT, BALI

As the name suggests, there are two levels within the Canggu cafe and the upstairs space reflects loft style living, furnished with large tables for communal dining.

Downstairs, the tables are laid out facing the street, reflecting European cafe culture, and the indoor / outdoor design makes the space feel a lot larger than it actually is. Outside, the dining area features a large pink photo wall for snapping shots for Instagram. This has since become a signature design trend, adopted by many of the most popular healthy cafes popping up all over Bali.

The first time I visited The Loft for brunch, I ordered the Avo on Toast and added Poached Eggs.

It was topped with dukkah, which was a delicious combo and served with a side of watercress and balsamic red cherry tomatoes. That was still my favourite dish however, when I returned with my best friend I was hungover, so I can confirm that The Loft serves up one of the best Big Breakfasts in Canggu! I also ordered a Charcoal Latte, which soaked up the toxins that were still lurking in my stomach from a few too many drinks the night before. Meanwhile, my friend ordered the Smoked Salmon Toast and I must admit I had major food envy!

The Loft is a casual dining space with a cult following, serving up nourishing food and delicious coffee to fuel your body after a surf. Or, you can stop in for a coffee hit whilst you escape the heat and use the free WIFI to catch up on some work.

Be sure to add THE LOFT to your Brunch in Bali BUCKET LIST!
