In 2016, I was fortunate to spend my working week living in Bali. This was without a doubt THE BEST YEAR OF MY LIFE! I saw turtles hatch, had dinner in a tree house, witnessed the most amazing sunsets and lived in 5-star luxury. In fact, at times I actually had to remind myself that I was there for work!

To be completely honest, I had no desire to travel to Bali before I started flying there for work. I’d always thought of Bali as highly commercialised and over-populated with Australian tourists. But, Bali truly is a beautiful place! Especially when you get away from the westernised hub of the central area of Kuta and Legian.

One of the biggest attractions of Bali, though, is the local people themselves.

Outside of the busy tourist areas, I was fortunate to meet many amazing Balinese locals who welcomed me to their homeland. They will forever hold a special place in my heart and I will be sure to go back and visit them next time I am in Bali!

My job has a lot of perks and I feel so lucky to have had the opportunity to call this beautiful country my second home!

In this section of the site, I will share my adventures with you and review some of the highlights of my home away from home.
